For over 18 years Jenn McNamara has focused on researching and developing advanced technologies to expand human potential. For the past 13 years, she has been involved in the creation of dozens of serious games for training, practice, and assessment, including several award winning products. Jenn holds an M.Ed. from the Pennsylvania State University and B.S. from Drexel University. She is a self-described human performance enthusiast drawing upon her background in cognitive and human factors psychology, education and training, and AI/agent-based system development to provide innovative solutions that meet real world needs. Jenn has been extremely active in shaping the serious games industry through researching game use from her early lead role on the DARPA DARWARS Training Superiority program to more recent direct commercial developments and advocating for the serious application of games by speaking at industry conferences. In addition, Jenn serves as the Director of the non-profit Serious Games Showcase and Challenge, an annual international competition and exhibition for serious games.
