Hélène Michel is a professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management (France). Prof Michel holds a PhD and a post doctorate degree (HDR accreditation to supervise research) in management sciences. She specializes in innovation management with a specific focus on serious games and gamification since 2003.
Her aim is to design games and game mechanisms to support innovation processes and inspire entrepreneurship. She is an international expert on the topic: expert for different research agencies (European Commission), speaker in major conferences (Games for Change), workshop (MIT Global Start-up Workshop) and judge at international competitions (Re-Imagine Education Wharton, AMBA Innovation Awards).
She gives conferences on Gamification and Innovation and facilitates sessions for companies at the international level (Engie, Michelin, Renault, etc.). She does seminars with MBA and Executive MBA students from Stellenbosch (South Africa), Temple University, George Washington University, Duke University (USA) etc.
Prof Michel has obtained several research grants on the topic (European Commission, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seed Fund). The games she develops have received international recognition (MBA Innovation Awards winner, Re-Imagine Education Awards finalist).
She is now using games to support social entrepreneurship in collaboration with United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in a “Games for Good” perspective.
