Employee Education System of the Veterans Health Administration
Elizabeth James received her PHD from Johns Hopkins University in Biochemistry / Biophysics and is a member of the Senior Executive Service. Department of Veterans Affairs. She is an adjunct professor of Toxicology at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and is a leader of the Employee Education System of the Veterans Health Administration as the Deputy Chief Learning Officer in the Employee Education System.
In this capacity she is responsible for operationalizing and implementing a training and education vision that meets the needs of the approximately 370,000 VA nationally distributed employees. She is a leader in educational research at the National Simulation Center and award winning educational learning games.
