Biography

Seth Andrew Hudson serves George Mason University as Assistant Professor of Game Writing in the Computer Game Design program, he teaches Story Design for Computer Games, Critical Studies, and the History of Computer Games. Hudson’s scholarship ranges from topics including: international humanitarian law in games and student identity in higher education, to pedagogy in game writing and curriculum development; presenting at the East Coast Games Conference, the American Society for International Law, the Game Developers Conference, and the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Hudson serves as mentor for Mason’s undergraduate Games-Engaged Analysis and Research Group (GEAR), overseeing original student scholarship and research including rhetorical choices in Fibbage, player-perceived war crimes in FPS games, and ongoing projects in the social sciences and humanities.
