Lifelong-learning addict and gamer, Ben Ward eases the way for K-State University’s College of Business as an instructional strategist helping faculty to integrate the latest and greatest of new technologies with the best of teaching and learning. Originally a public school teacher, artist, programmer, and cultural anthropologist, Ben quickly transferred his skills into university instructional design and technology. Fascinated with all forms of play, gaming, and games ability to teach, he currently explores and promotes the latest in educational technology through workshops, game jams, projects, and presentations. A die-hard game designer, he consults and collaborates with professionals to create games for everything from healthy eating games for children and adults to teaching through play critical thinking using the Socratic Method. A consultant, game designer, and closet entrepreneur, Ben looks forward to sharing his successes and failures with campus-transmedia experiences and teaching with games in higher education with others.
