Conference Offering Hands On Training for Government Employees, First Responders
July 10-12, 2018 at George Mason University’s Manassas Campus
WASHINGTON, DC – May 7, 2018 – A 3-day conference offering practical, hands on sessions for local government employees and first responders engaged in handling community emergencies will be offered at George Mason University’s Science & Technology Campus in Manassas, VA, July 10-12, 2018.
Designed for local government training directors and first responders, the conference will offer more than 20 practical, hands on sessions for leader and workforce development. Part of a larger conference on use of game-based learning, the government track will be led by federal trainers responsible for developing and implementing the latest methods for emergency response training methods and the leading DOD consultants on developing leadership.
Speakers include Garth Nelson, Naval Surface Warfare Center; Michelle Ralston, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Dept of Homeland Security; Barry Kinsey, also FEMA; Craig Goolsby, Uniformed Services University, National Center for Disaster Medicine & Public Health; and Sarah Moffat, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
